Prom!

Well, May is starting to be a busy month in our house. Kalie has Prom tonight and she went with a group of friends and she looked beautiful! Sydney has signed up for the local swim team, the Galt Gators, and has practice every evening. Oh yeah, softball is starting back up for Kalie, so we will start traveling to her weekend tournaments. Kalie did track for the high school this season and that is coming to an end.

Kyle and Zoe are keeping us busy...Last night Mr. Kyle thought it would be fun to flush Kalie's cell phone down the toilet. Luckily, Kalie heard him flushing the toilet and looked in the toilet, then all the commotion started. Micky took the phone completely apart and dried every little piece and this morning Kalie checked on it & it is still working. We never thought he would do that! Zoe told us that Kyle has flushed toys down the toilet before, so Kyle was in time out last night and had a firm talking to. Aaahh, the life of a 3 year old.

Zoe & Kyle went to the Dr for their checkup, Zoe got 5 shots for kindergarten, and Kyle got 2. They were not too happy with me, so I took them to Baskin Robbins for ice cream afterwards. When they got home, they proudly showed everyone their band aids and told them about their wonderful Dr experience. These 2 little ones make us laugh!

Take Care!

5K Zoo Zoom Run in Sacramento

We ran our 1st 5K run today around the Sacramento Zoo and it was a beautiful day. I ran with Kalie, my neighbor Annette and her son Ryan. I ran it in 45 minutes, with a bit of walking. Kalie ran it in 30 min 58 seconds. I was proud of Kalie for doing this run and happy I finished! After the race, both our families went to the zoo, then out to brunch on the river. The hot tub sounds pretty good right now!

We are all doing good and just busy with the kids. Take care!

The Wiggles are finally here!

The kids have patiently waited for the Wiggles to come to Sacramento and tonight they finally came. Kyle, Zoe, & my nephew Hayden had a great time singing and dancing. The kid's even brought dog bones for Wag's the Dog and roses for Dorothy the Dinosaur.

Last night, Micky took Sydney to the Sacramento Kings basketball game against the Memphis Grizzlies and they had a good time too. Kings won 107-106 in OT. Go Kings! Have a great weekend!

Happy Easter!

We celebrated Easter with our neighbors today. Our neighbors hosted an Easter egg hunt and dinner at their home, even the Easter Bunny showed up! The kids had a great time checking out the bunny and asking her questions. Kyle asked the bunny, "Are you going to bite me?" After a few moments, the kids warmed up to the idea of visiting with the bunny. Earlier today, I attended a catholic church service with a couple of friends from work for Good Friday.

On Sunday, we are planning to visit my Dad's family & then go to a local lake with some friends for an easter egg hunt.

Have a Great Easter!

Still trying to figure how to set up this blog...

Hi!

I decided to close the other blog we had because I thought this one would be easier, but I realize I have a lot to learn about this site. I took some pics of Kalie & Kyle playing Guitar Hero from Friday night. The kids love that game. It was a quiet weekend around here.

I had a bit of an emergency last Thursday at work. We were eating lunch in the break room and I began choking on my lunch. I tried & tried to clear it, but it was stuck in my throat & I could not breathe. My friend noticed as I reached out & grabbed her to let her know I was having a problem. I was turning a shade of purple, and luckily my friend, Alicia-pictured above on the left side , was there to assist. She started to pat my back several times, which did not work, then she realized I was in real trouble. She had to perform the Heimlich Maneuver 4 times before I was able to breathe. It was very scary! Alicia is being recognized at work for being on her toes and able to help me. She is actually being nominated for the highest PG&E Safety Award. Friday, I received e-mails from co-workers that work in other towns and areas, who had heard about the incident and their managers were passing around safety messages to share with their work groups. (It is a good thing, but kind of embarrassing)

Needless to say, I relaxed this weekend with our family, drank some good wine, played with the kids, and loved sleeping in! Thanks Micky!

Hello from our new Blog!

Hi everyone! Hope all is well. We have had a busy couple of weeks. Kalie just celebrated her 17th B-day, she finished cheerleading, and had an "80's" dance last night and she did a great job at putting Randy's and her outfits together. They looked great!
We are going to celebrate my brothers 40th B-day tonight. He is taking us out on the town with about 30 of his friends, it should be a lot of fun.
Sydney's friend won a talent show at school and her prize was taking a Limo to lunch with 7 of her friends. Sydney was invited and so excited about their lunch plans.
Kyle & Zoe are busy with school and they love to play outside and do their art projacts. We are fortunate they enjoy their school.
Take Care & talk soon!
