It has been a busy month....

Happy New Year & Gun Hay Fat Choy!

Wow, where has the time gone....I haven't even had a chance to update about Christmas. We had a good Christmas, although I was home sick with a bad case of bronchitis. We stayed home on Christmas Day and the kids just played with their new stuff. Kalie received an Apple Mac Book, Sydney received a 26"LCD TV for her room, and Kyle & Zoe received scooters. We have had great weather the last week and the 2 little ones were able to ride their scooters and play outside.
Zoe actually learned how to ride her bike without her training wheels last weekend.

Micky & I have been good, just busy at work. We are planning my birthday cruise in November, so if you are interested in going, let me know.

Micky is going to celebrate his 45th birthday on 1/27! Happy Birthday!!

Kalie was nominated as a Princess for Winter Homecoming and is running for Homecoming Queen. I will let you know how it turns out next week! She is very excited!

We hope all is well with everyone, and wish the best 2009 to all.

Love,
The Ma's

Winter Ball 2008

Kalie, Ron, Michelle, & Alex went to Winter ball tonight. They looked absolutely gorgeous! They are going to their friends Jamie's for dinner. There will be 10 couples eating over there (Jamie has great parents!), then they will go to the dance here in Galt at one of the halls.

We are still getting our shopping done, not much energy this year to go out & fight the crowds. On Dec. 20th Kalie, Sydney, and I are volunteering at St. Mary's Interfaith Dining Hall to help serve their holiday dinner. We will probably be there 2-4 hours. St. Mary's helps with the homeless in the Stockton area. Kyle has his Christmas performance on Tuesday and Zoe has her Christmas performance on Thursday. The little ones are so excited about Christmas! We bought a ginger bread kit today at Target, so we will be putting that together tonight. We bought one for Kyle & Zoe, and another for Sydney & Kalie.

Have a great Weekend!

Disneyland & Thanksgiving

We just returned from 5 days in Los Angeles. We went to Santa Monica, Newport Beach, and 2 days at Disneyland and California Adventure. The weather was great, although it rained on our last day. The kids had fun, but we think Kyle & Zoe had the most fun. When we were at California Adventure the kids did get to see the Jonas Brothers, they were there doing a special filming. The 2 older girls were able to get pictures of them. Zoe was very excited to see them too. It was a mob scene, girls were screaming like crazy, and some were actually crying. I had to laugh when I saw that. The drive home took us close to 9 hours due to holiday traffic. (We forgot about holiday traffic!)

We had Thanksgiving yesterday with our families, a very busy day. We had 3 stops to make. I think we are going to have to change that in the future, no time to relax and enjoy the day. We went to my Brothers, Micky's family, then to my Dad's house. Exhausted by the end of the day!

Today we are cooking a turkey for the 6 of us, relaxing, and catching up on some sleep. Now onto the next holiday, does it ever stop?

Christmas has become so commercial, we have lost sight on what it really means. Our oldest daughter suggested that we help at a local dinning hall on Christmas day, so that may be what we are doing this year. I thought that was a great idea coming from our 17 year old, Kalie has grown into a great woman.

Happy Holidays & Stay Safe!

Kyle's 4th B-Day

We celebrated Kyle's 4th birthday yesterday and he had a lot of friends and family over for his party. We had a reptile party and we hired "Party Animals" from Placerville to come over and show the kids all different snakes and lizards. The kids loved it, they got to touch the snakes and hold a couple of them. We are planning a trip to Disneyland later this month, the kids are excited. Scroll down to the bottom of this blog for more pics of the party.

Kalie is starting to apply to colleges, Sydney is doing good in school, and Kyle & Zoe are keeping us busy.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a nice Labor Day weekend. We just stayed around the house and BBQ several times. We took Kyle & Zoe to the Train Museum in Old Sacramento on Monday, and they also went on a train ride. I think Micky & I were more interested in the trains than the little ones were. Kalie & Sydney weren't interested in going. They spent the weekend with friends and made smores Saturday night by the fire pit.

I posted Kalie's Senior picture proof. This picture is for the yearbook, she will take her other Senior pictures later this year or early next year. Kalie is interested in the guitar lately, luckily I picked one up at a garage sale about 5 years ago and had it stored in the shed. She has a couple of friends that play and she has been practicing. Kyle now wants a little guitar for himself.

Everyone is in school and having a great time. Kyle is playing soccer every Saturday, although he says it is too much running for him. He makes us laugh, he barely moves out there! We have so much fun watching him & his teammates.

Talk Soon!
